TicketProof / Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · 24 JULY 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data TicketProof collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It covers both the TicketProof app and this website. The data controller is TicketProof Ltd, Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom — contact support@ticketproof.co.uk.
1. Data we collect (app)
- Account data: your email address. Account credentials are securely managed by our authentication provider.
- Location data: your device location is used while the app is open to show nearby reports, validate report distance, and provide navigation. We do not track your location in the background and we do not store a history of your movements.
- Content you submit: warden reports (a map coordinate and timestamp), parking spot details, photos, and issue reports.
- Local data: preferences such as dark mode, recent searches, and parking timers are stored only on your device.
2. How we use your data
We use your data solely to operate TicketProof: showing community reports on the map, moderating submissions, and sending you the notifications you request (such as parking timer reminders and nearby warden alerts). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. Sharing
We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate TicketProof, including cloud hosting, authentication, mapping, navigation, search and push notifications. These providers receive only the minimum information necessary to provide their services. We do not sell your personal data.
4. AI-assisted appeals
If you use our ticket appeal feature, the details of your ticket, the explanation you write, any photos you add, and your messages with our appeal advisor are processed by a third-party AI provider to generate your appeal letter and power the advisor chat. This involves transferring that information to a provider based outside the UK and EU; the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, and your information is not used to train the provider’s AI models. Where your appeal relies on medical, disability, or other special-category information, we only send it to the AI provider after you have given explicit consent at the point you tell us your grounds involve sensitive circumstances.
5. Retention
Warden reports expire after 2 hours and are kept only in anonymised form to calculate historical parking risk. When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and your public profile is anonymised. You may reactivate your account by logging back in within 30 days. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently deleted. Community contributions (warden reports and parking data) are retained in anonymised form as they form part of the community dataset.
6. This website & the waitlist
- Waitlist: if you join the waitlist we store the email address you give us, when you joined, and a salted one-way hash of your network address (used only to prevent abuse of the signup form — your actual IP address is not stored). We use the address solely to tell you about TicketProof’s launch, and send one confirmation email when you sign up. To come off the list at any time, email support@ticketproof.co.uk or reply to any email we send, and we’ll delete your address.
- Analytics: this website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites.
- Cookies: this website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set a strictly-necessary security cookie to protect the site from malicious traffic.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at support@ticketproof.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days. To request full erasure of your personal data under UK GDPR Article 17, contact support@ticketproof.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Children
TicketProof is not intended for children under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time, and continued use of the app or website means you accept the changes. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
