Appealing a parking ticket
How it works
Got a ticket? Tap the amber Appeal Ticket bubble. Answer a few questions about your ticket and we’ll assess your case free of charge before you pay anything. If your grounds look weak, we say so — honestly — rather than selling you a letter.
Meet Clara
Clara is TicketProof’s AI appeal advisor. She can ask follow-up questions about what happened, explain the difference between a council penalty charge and a private parking charge, and help you understand your grounds before and after your letter is generated. Look for the Ask Clara button throughout the appeal flow.
Your letter and evidence pack
If you go ahead, TicketProof generates a professional appeal letter and an evidence pack (a PDF plus copy-pasteable text). You submit it yourself — TicketProof never contacts the council or operator on your behalf, so you stay in control of exactly what’s sent, and to whom.
If your appeal is rejected
Escalation guidance and an escalation letter to the relevant independent adjudicator are included with your original appeal — not charged again. The route differs: council penalty charges escalate to a tribunal, private parking charges to the operator’s independent appeals service.
What appeals are not
- TicketProof provides document drafting and general guidance — not legal advice. For court matters, consult a solicitor or Citizens Advice.
- We can’t guarantee any outcome — anyone who promises a win is overselling.
- One ticket per appeal session, and the details you give must be accurate — the letter is only as honest as the facts behind it.
